OK I am still new to this figure collection thingy only been collecting for a a year now and was reading something on the internet I did not like the sound of one bit, so I thought I would ask some of the more experienced people.
The post I read and I quote
"Some "PVC" figure collectors complain of an oily film after a while and I would think this is due to the plasticisers migrating to the surface of the plastic. Small plasticiser molecules are pretty mobile and after a period of time, they accumulate on the surface to produce a oily crud. which then over time can result in them becoming crappy and brittle"
So kinda wondering if this is true? will all my PVC figures become oily, paint wear of and ugly looking over time?

I haven't had this issue, but it might have been more prevalent in the past. PVC quality is really great nowadays.

Anyone else care to respond, I am hoping what Gasaraki said is true and that applys to the older figures not the newer ones of today.

i concur with gasa on the pvc quality. most ppl keep their wares boxed up, but if you choose to display them narus, you should invest in clear boxes or display cases.
these allow for less cleaning inbetween and preserves your wares better than just having them out.
