Has anyone else watched the Zatoichi tv series or movies? I've seen a few movies and am currently watching the tv episodes that Media Blasters released in here in the U.S.

Even if you haven't seen it, I'm sure that you've heard of it. It's a period piece about a blind swordsman/masseur in feudal Japan. Ichi is basically a good guy that travels from place to place working as a masseur, but he also likes to gamble. Since gambling is run by the Yakuza, this can sometimes lead to trouble. Of course, that isn't all there is to it. You've also got your corrupt magistrates, shugyosha, etc. If you like samurai stuff, then you should definitely check it out.
