I think the growing amount of nendoroid bootlegs should get its own little thread, but here's the current known bootlegs.
Common Information: Don't buy any cheap ones from ebay, and avoid stores that use pictures of nendoroids with a Lam Lam plastered over it. Although some stores may use real pictures so be warned. Always look for an official sticker on the boxes, and compare it with box pictures on hobbysearch for example whenever possible. The bootlegs always are more shinier than the real ones. And of course, bad fading paint and paintjobs are apparent. If you want to look at examples, look below at the pictures and some descriptions I noted. But you can look on ebay by browsing through nendoroids and sort it by the lowest prices xD;;
* Nendoroid Light
* Nendoroid L - Easier to discern from the real nendoroid. Compare the real and fake nendoroid box.
* Nendoroid Misa
* Nendoroid Haruhi - Although it might vary, based on the box and pictures, the stand doesn't seem high enough to prop her legs straight..
* Nendoroid Al Azif - She just looks plain horrible... Not to mention all her eyebrows are raised for all her faces, while the real one only has one face that has her eyebrows raised. But yeah you can pretty much tell from her eyes.
* Nendoroid Mikuru - Shoddy paint job, and shiny isn't it?
* Nendoroid Suzumiya, Mikuru and Yuki Bunny Girl Nendoroids *Wonderfest Limited* - I guess they're not so limited anymore xD;; Great for those who want a bootlegged copy of a limited item. But of course the quality is horrible.
* Nendoroid Konata Comptiq Nekomimi Cat-ear Version - These should never be cheap...
* Nendoroid Lucky Star Petit Season 1 - http://www.goodsmile.info/info/imitation.html - Refer to the official link here for details.
Versus
The left one has the standard face on, while the fake has one of the other faces on. Not to mention the fake one on the right lacks an orange label/sticker.
The quality of these should give you a good example of how to identify them xD;;; I'll update whenever I spot a new bootleg.

I've seen those, too. I did a nendoroid search the other day. It's obvious by how cheap they are that they're bootlegs, but you can just tell some of them are by just looking at them. _________________

I have a "Chinatown" downtown here, and every time I go there...
BOOTLEG NENDOROIDS.
Although, I may have to buy one to modify, as I don't want to spend a lot of money on another L for my project. |

If you'd like, I could help you track down a real one.
I collect Death Note merchandise, so... |

ha? As far as I know there isn't a bootlegged Miku Nendoroid. I was referring to the the GSC 1/8th scale Miku that I posted in the bootlegged figure thread.
Unless you were referring to something else? _________________ http://roxyssketches.blogspot.com/

I was replying to Mello's post when I said that too, so it was mixed. _________________ Dynasty Warriors 6 is coming to PS2!!! |

Wow these are actually not bad.
I have seen the L one, but I haven't seen the other.
I will take a pic if I see some in AX. |

I ended up getting a fake/bootleg of the Wonderfest Limited.
I should have known better. As soon as I took them out of the box, and just the box alone, yuck! Oh well, maybe someday I'll have an original set. |

I hope so too.
I know where you can buy them officially but they're like $300 I think. _________________
