O.o Wouldn't mesh be easier to put on after you're completely done painting it? xD I'd be afraid of messing up!

The mesh areas are stand alone pieces, so I just need to create a sock and put it over the parts. Those parts are already painted. 
With that said, weekend update, I got the arms and legs finished as well as the base. If all goes well, I could finish her this week...

I pretty much finished her last night, but it was too late to take final pictures. I may still have a few touch up areas to fix tonight, but if all goes well, I should be able to take some final pictures tonight... but for now, a little teaser...

lol, it's your insignia. a great "finishing touch" that seals the deal.
oh and good choice on asagi. i had a hunch that's where it'd be placed.
